Photo Op
Jessica Dickson Goodman didn't sleep well on the Greyhound bus taking her to Washington, D.C. For one thing, the Carnegie Mellon sophomore was going to a Presidential Inauguration event. For another, she had a $3,000 camera borrowed from The Tartan in her bag. But, rested or not, she ended up taking a great shot of former Secretary of State Colin Powell and posted it on her blog. A few months later, she heard from the Special Libraries Association. The photo ended up on the cover of the association's magazine, Information Outlook, to promote an upcoming conference in which Powell was the keynote speaker.
