Alumni Association Board Adds Six New Members

Carnegie Mellon’s Alumni Association Board of Directors has elected six new members for three-year terms, effective this past July 1. They are:

Kevin J. Dowling (S’83, CS’94,’97) of Boston;
Mitchell Fried (TPR’74,’75) of New York;
Daniel Gilman (HS’04) of Pittsburgh;
Manu Kumar (ECE’95, CS’97, TPR’99) of Menlo Park, Calif.;
Erik Larson (TPR’96) of Chicago;
Punyashree Viswanath (MISM’03) of New York.

The 20-member board also includes:

Richard T. Creech (E’84) of Palm City, Fla.;

Timothy Liu (HS’85) of Arlington, Va.;

Kristine Werlinich (HNZ’96) of Los Angeles;

Each spring the Alumni Association Board elects six new members for three-year terms. Members must possess strong leadership and teamwork skills, and attend three board meetings each year. The nomination deadline is Dec. 31, 2005.
