Special Edition: Public Policy

One of the greatest strengths of Carnegie Mellon University is its interdisciplinary approach to understanding and solving real-world problems, especially through public policy. The H. John Heinz III College is the center for the university's policy work, but it's hardly the only policy voice on campus. Many of Carnegie Mellon's faculty, students, and alumni have become internationally recognized experts on today's crucial issues—criminal justice, energy and the environment, healthcare policy and management, information security policy, economics and the global economy, urban and social policy, and improving risk assessment and response.
